| The spectacular event of World Cup 2010 will take you by storm between June 11th-July 11th and all you soccer fans can eat, sleep and breathe football for a month long of soccer mania. Fans all over the globe are dying to witness their favorite team play their best soccer during this football season. 204 FIFA National teams from all over the world were churned during the qualification process that began way back in 2007 and the final draw was announced on the 4th of December 2009 in Cape Town, which comprises of 32 teams that are divided into eight groups with four teams under each group.
Qualification Process
The qualification for the FIFA 2010 game started in the month of August 2010 and six FIFA Confederations organised a chain of tournaments. The six confederations were: Asia (AFC), Africa (CAF), North America (CONCACAF), South America (CONMEBOL), Oceania (OFC) and Europe (UEFA). On the 25th of August 2007 the first qualifying matches for Soccer World Cup began and by 18th of November 2009 the qualification process came to an end with around 848 matches being played. A total number of 204 national teams participated in the qualification process out of which 32 qualified for the World Cup 2010. 13 teams from the UEFA, 6 form CAF, 3 from CONCACAF, 5 from COMMEBOL, 4 from AFC and one team from OFC made it to the World Cup 2010 finals.

South Africa naturally gets elevated to the finals of the Soccer World Cup for being the host for the year 2010. The following are the teams that have successfully qualified to the FIFA 2010 game: Japan, Australia, North Korea, South Korea, Netherlands, Brazil, Ghana, England, Spain, Paraguay, Cote d’Ivoire, Germany, Denmark, Serbia, Italy, Chile, Mexico, United States, Switzerland, Slovakia, Argentina, Honduras, New Zealand, Nigeria, Cameroon, Algeria, Greece, Slovenia, Portugal, France and Uruguay.
Final Draw of World Cup 2010
Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay and France will come under this group and the matches for Group A will be held from 11th-22nd June 2010. In terms of FIFA rankings France holds 7th rank, Uruguay has 19th rank, Mexico’s got 15th and South Africa has got 86th rank. Two winning teams from this group will go on to face the runner up teams of Group B and the winning teams of Group B will play against the runner up team of Group A.
Group B: This group consists of Argentina, Nigeria, Korea Republic and Greece with each team holding 8th, 22nd, 52nd and 12th ranking respectively. The matches for Group B will be played from 12th-22nd June 2010.
Group C: Team England. United States, Slovenia and Algeria will fall under Group C with the following rankings: 9th, 14th, 28th and 33rd respectively. The scheduled dates for the matches in the group will be 12th-23rd June 2010. The winning teams of Group C will play opposite the runners up of Group D and the winning teams from Group D will play against the runner up teams of Group C.
Group D: Germany, Australia, Ghana and Serbia will play in this group from 13th-23rd June 2010. Germany holds 6th rank, Serbia 20th, Australia has, 21st and Ghana with 37th.
Group E: Denmark, Netherlands, Cameroon and Japan fall under this group with following rankings: 26th, 3rd, 11th and 43rd respectively. 14th- 24th June 2010 is the scheduled dates for the matches to be held under this group. Winners from this group will play against runners up of Group F and the winning teams of Group F will face the runners up of Group E.
Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand and Slovakia are the teams under this group who will play matches from 14th-24th June 2010. Italy holds 4th rank, Paraguay 30th, Slovakia 34th rank and NZ has 77th rank.
Group G: Brazil, Portugal, Korea DPR and Cote d’Ivoire come under this group who will play matches from 15th-25th June 2010. Brazil has 2nd rank, Portugal is with 5th, Korea DPR holds 84th and Cote d’lvoire had got 16th. The winning teams of this group will face runners up of Group H and the winning teams of Group H will play against Group G.
Group H: Spain, Honduras, Chile and Switzerland will contest under this group with following rankings 1st, 38th, 17th and 18th respectively. The teams will play matches starting from 16th-25th of June 2010.
The winning and the runner up teams from the above groups will proceed to the knock out stage; Round 16 followed by Quarter Finals and then the Semi-finals and then the Finals.
